When it comes to cabin cooking our family is all about eating well, with as little clean-up as possible. One of my favorite ways to cook is a one-pan meal, and the cast iron skillet is my #1 pan. I love that you can use it over an open flame, on a grill, or in an oven… plus when taken care of properly the pan itself is seasoned with delicious flavors which adds an extra bit of yumminess to your recipe.

Overall, cast-iron cooking is fun and way easier than you may think. If you are nervous about using a cast-iron pan, I recommend getting one and practicing. One of the best and easiest meals is a casserole in my opinion. Our family loves them, and for good reason, they are jammed-packed with goodness and are often stress-free when it comes to preparing them.
