How do I improve the signal on my eero? ›

Power cycle your eeros:

Try power cycling your eeros by unplugging the power cable from the back of your eero, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in. This step can sometimes fix connectivity issues. The eero's LED will turn solid white, then be flashing white while booting up.

eero 6 uses the power of Wi-Fi 6 to support faster speeds to every corner of your space, increase your internet's efficiency, and reduce network congestion compared to prior Wi-Fi standards. With cross-compatible hardware, you can easily add eero products as your needs change.

So, if possible, it's best to place your eeros at a height halfway between the floor and the ceiling, not on the ground. Keep your space open. eeros communicate best when they're not closed in; i.e. keep them out in the open—try not to place your eeros inside a media console or cabinet.

Here are a couple quick things you can try: Check that Bluetooth is ON: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. You'll use Bluetooth to pair your eero with your account. Power cycle your gateway eero: You can do this by unplugging and re-plugging it.

eeros communicate best when they're not closed in. Keep them out in the open – try not to place your eero(s) inside a media console or cabinet. The thinner the barrier, the better. The fewer the walls (and the less substantial their inner material) between your eeros, the better your performance will be.

At the top of the Home tab, users are able to check the status of their network. Overall network health is categorized into one of three statuses: Healthy, Connecting, and Unhealthy.

Unlike the familiar router-to-range extender network configuration, eero is a WiFi system that uses multiple access points to provide your home with fast, reliable coverage all on a single network. Range extenders can expand the reach of your existing wireless network.

Please note: you need a modem to connect to your eero router. If your modem is built into your current router (also known as a modem-router), then you will need to connect your eero to your existing router. The first eero device should be connected to either your existing cable, fiber, DSL modem, or modem-router.

Can I plug my computer directly into my eero? ›

Yes. You can connect a number of network devices to your eero's Ethernet ports.

Generally, we recommend the number of eeros needed based on the number of bedrooms and/or floors in a home. Here are some general recommendations: Small homes and apartments: Since we recommend 1-2 eeros per floor, in these home settings, a great fit would be our eero and eero Beacon pack.

Step 1 - Check your devices

If it's only on one device, simply turn your device's Wi-Fi off and on again. If that doesn't work, try rebooting the device. If you're having an issue across multiple devices or the above steps didn't help, try running a network health check in the eero app (Menu > Help > Troubleshooting).

eero devices are built to last, but there may come a time when you want to trade in or recycle your device.

Tap Add eero Device.

Tap your way through the setup in the app. The eero app will help you adjust your location along the way, but note the following: You must not place the device where coverage is poor, but within good coverage from at least one other eero device in the mesh network.

If your point has a weak mesh connection, try to move it closer to your router or primary Wifi point (the one connected to your modem). Points work better when they're closer together. Note that you want to place a mesh node in between the places of poor coverage and the closest mesh point.
